I took Ellie to the pediatrician today to get a check on her weight and length. All morning I was hoping that she had gained enough weight and stressed about what our future would be if she didn't. I really don't want to have to formula feed--but I knew if it was what's best for her, I'd do it anyway. The good news is that I don't have to worry about that! Our little girl is doing just fine and has gained 5 1/2 ounces in 5 days! Woohoo! She's now 7 lbs 4 oz and 20 inches long. Go her! She's still small percentile-wise, but hey...she's just a petite little girl!
I have been feeling so very blessed to have such a cute and fun little baby girl in our lives. I'm so thankful for the opportunity to be a mother! Nothing could ever bring me more joy and I love her so much!!

I'm glad she gained more! Emily's small - as in, not on the growth charts small - for a 2yo - and our pedi doesn't worry about it. She's just petite. So even if Ellie stays on the little size, as long as she's gaining at a steady rate, she's fine!
